Question: If there is a married couple with out children, each has their own income, can they apply as singles? If so then as far as income verification is it just their own income not household income?
Answer: No. Household income is the usual rule. A married couple would have to show that they lived apart for the entire year to qualify separately.
I want to know if I get any financial help with my deductibles if it is just me and the wife, no kids. the wife is not working and is a type 1 diabetic which requires her to take insulin 4 times a day and is preventing her to get a job. I am the only one working and make approximately $47,000.00 a year. Please let me know what type of financial aid I can get for covered CA?
