Agent Commissions for 2014?

By on | 4 Comments

Question: What will be the commissions paid to agents selling individual plans in the exchange and out of the exchange in 2014?

Answer: Agent commissions have not been announced yet.

Any update on agent commissions in and outside the exchange?

The question was about agent commissions not premium rates.

The Rates are filed with CA Dept of Insurance for Approval. The public can look them up there.

The insurance companies know exactly what agent commissions for 2014 they have proposed to HHS, DOI, etc. We, the agents and brokers, need to know what they have proposed. CAHBA needs to exert pressure on the insurance companies to disclose. We cannot plan for 2014 and beyond otherwise.
